Composting is an inexpensive, natural process that transforms kitchen and garden waste into a valuable food for gardens, allotments and indoor plants.
Composting is the most practical and environmentally friendly way of transforming your garden and kitchen waste into something useful – COMPOST!

Why make and use compost?
- To reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill – over 30% of household waste is compostable and at least half of the food waste in your rubbish bin can be composted.
- Kitchen and garden waste doesn’t compost in landfill as it’s too compacted and wet; instead it creates methane, a gas that contributes to climate change.
- When waste is composted above ground, it decomposes using oxygen and very little methane is produced.
- Composting at home for just one year can save global warming gases equivalent to all the CO2 your kettle produces annually or your washing machine produces in three months.
- Compost produces FREE natural fertilizer to help you grow you own healthy flowers, fruit and vegetables.
