National Community Waste Sector Networks

The UK community waste sector is supported by the following organisations:

  • Community Recycling Network (CRN) is the national voice for community-based recycling and waste reduction. It promotes community-based sustainable waste management as a practical and effective way of tackling the UK’s growing waste problem.
  • Furniture Reuse Network (FRN) provides information, training and support to furniture recycling and re-use projects. Network members also work to alleviate need and social hardship through their activities.
  • Community Composting Network (CCN) encourages community and home composting nationally. It is an umbrella body for more than 150 groups across the UK, encouraging and facilitating the exchange of ideas and information.
  • London Reuse Network: Working to solve London’s resource challenges sustainably, through community-based waste prevention, reuse and recycling.
  • REalliance is a joint venture between the four main community resource and recycling networks in England – CCN, CRN UK, LCRN and FRN.
