Cornwall Waste Action working in partnership with Pengegon Area Collective, Residents Association, will be providing free training opportunities this summer. The free workshops are for local residents from Pengegon and surrounding areas of Camborne, who are currently not in employment.*
The style of the workshops will be informative but informal, and will cover a range of waste related subjects on the following dates:
10th May: Make your own compost at home
24th May: Repair your bike & cycle maintenance skills
7th June: Grow your own food in unwanted containers
21st June: Waste less food & create meals from leftovers
5th July: Creative art & craft skills, using waste materials
19th July: Kids swap shop, toys & clothes exchange
All events will be held at the Pengegon Scout Hut, every other Tuesday morning, from 10 —12.30, starting on May10th.
All participants will receive free training and support during the workshops and be provided with a free gift at each workshop attended as listed below:
10th May: Free compost bin
24th May: Free puncture repair kit
7th June: Free vegetable seeds & compost
21st June: Free cookery book
5th July: Free craft kit
19th July: Free re-useable jute bag

* Participants must be over 19 and can be unemployedor in receipt of other benefits, pensioners and studentsare also welcome. If you are a lone parent and require childcare costs, do contact us, as we may be able to help you.
