Furniture re-use volunteers wanted in Bodmin

Volunteers are currently needed at RE:STORE and RE:SOURCE in Bodmin

RE:STORE is a community-based organisation that cleans, repairs and refurbishes reused furniture for sale and delivery to the general public. As a volunteer you will work with a friendly team of staff, other local volunteers and trainees cleaning, assembling, testing and sometimes designing and making furniture. We are particularly keen to meet people who have experience and skills in woodwork and/or wood based DIY to help mentor less experienced people in basic woodwork skills.

RE:SOURCE sells the furniture processed at RE:STORE and also household appliances in it?s unique local store, where furniture and appliances are displayed for the general public to view and purchase. Volunteers are needed for cleaning, safety-testing and fixing appliances, office  administration, sales and assisting van drivers with their deliveries.

By volunteering for RE:SOURCE and RE:STORE you can gain experience and qualifications, meet new people, help the environment and your local community.

We are looking for volunteers who are patient, resourceful and adaptable. Full training is given and local travel costs covered.
