The 2011 Awards for Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management are open to applications.
The 8th annual Awards for Excellence are now open to applications.
Entries are welcome from local authorities, businesses, the voluntary and community sector and individuals who have been innovative and successful, and shown dedication in recycling and waste management.
This year there are ten awards categories:
- High Street Recycling Champion.
- Commercial Recycling Champion.
- Waste Management Initiative in the Commercial and Public Sector.
- Innovation in the Design of a Waste Management Facility.
- Collection Crew of the Year.
- The Best Community Recycling Initiative.
- Recycling Business of the Year.
- Civic Amenity Site of the Year.
- The Best Local Authority Recycling Initiative.
- Local Authority Recycling Champion.
Applications will be accepted until the closing date of 16 March 2011.
The awards ceremony will take place at The Savoy Hotel, London, on 12 May 2011.
