Is a joint initiative between Cornwall Council and Cornwall and Devon Media (West Briton, Cornish Guardian, Cornishman), to promote a cleaner, greener Cornwall. This means reducing waste, recycling more and reducing our energy consumption.
Over the next 12 months they will be encouraging you to get involved and telling you what you can do to reduce waste, recycle more, reduce energy consumption by being more sustainable.
The first thing they are focussing on is rubbish!
You can help by not dropping litter or organising a litter pick in your area.
Cornwall Council will help by providing you with equipment and advice on organising a litter pick and taking all the rubbish away afterwards…
You can show others how easy it is to make your area a hot spot, not a grot spot by letting Cornwall and Devon media know all about your special clean place, or what you’ve done to clean it up…they may want to include your litter pick in the papers to show how Our Cornwall is working – call Pauline or Tracy on 01872 271451.
